Zingy Spring

I have been working with the newest monthly mega kit from Digital Candy called Zingy Spring and boy-oh-boy and I in love. I am the type of person who absolutely LOVES bright bold colours so I was thrilled to get my hands on this kit. I was getting really tired of the soft and subtle feel to most of the new kits around Easter so this is a fabulous change.

Here are my layouts using this kit.

If you are interested in getting your hands on the Zingy Spring kit from Digital Candy just click here.

Are you enjoying this unusually warm April? I know I am and so are the kids. We have been lucky to get outside and enjoy the weather almost every day. Gerben is busy working on a huge play center for the girls and I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to snap some photos of them playing on it. I am sure I will have a million layouts to share when that happens.

I promise, I'm still scrappin!

The weather has finally gotten beautiful here so I haven't had as much time to scrap as I would like. I have managed to complete 2 recent LO's. The first one was a template challenge from Chrissy at Digital Candy. For this LO I used all products from the Digitreats Skip ABC kit including elements made by other contributers. I am in love with the girliness of this kit. It totally fits my girls personalities.

This next LO, showcases some of my favourite photos on my family. These have all been taken in the last 5 months. I am not sure about this LO. I like it but I don't love it. All elements are from the Sunshine Girls kit called Walking on Sunshine.

2 Sentimental LO's

I don't know what's up with me but I must be in a mushy mood. I made 2 sappy layouts in the last 24 hours. I can't believe how fast my baby is growing. She looks like a little girl now. Where did my toddler go?

This kit was made using the kit called Sweetie Pie by Melanie Ann Designs.
Template by Janeal's Corner.

Elements come from several sources including Mandy Mystiques Snazzy Boy and Cotton Candy. The background paper comes from Sunshine Studios Walking on Sunshine Kit.

Toot! Toot!

Don't mind me! I'm just tooting my own horn. I got chosen as the Digital Candy Sweet LO! It's so nice when people acknowledge your work. I can honestly say that I love creating for the girls at Digital Candy. They are super nice to work with and the products are fabulous!

Here's my Sweet Layout!

Here's the link to the link in the Digital Candy Forum.

All the elements are from Mandy Mystiques newest kit called Spring Pollen. Here's the link if you would like to add it to your collection. Spring Pollen. Oh and an added bonus is that it's 40% this month because it's being used as the Quickpage Exchange Clubs kit for the month. Here is the details on the club.

And, just in case your curious, here is what my quickpage looks like.

Now, if you looking for something a little goofy, here's my youngest daughter, Natalia, trying to drive our van.

My husband just loves this layout. He loves the photo in the middle because it's a true Natalia smile. We don't capture these on film very often so we need to treasure them when we do.

The kit I used is by Angie Kovacs. It's called Spring in my Step. You can find it here at Digital Candy.

Have a great night!

A few challenges!

So I sat down the other night and was reading a few blogs when I came upon Chrissy W's blog. She is a designer at Digital Candy and her stuff is amazing! She makes the most fantastic templates. You can find them here. Anyways, on her blog she mentioned that this particular template was one of her most used templates and to be honest I have it but had never used it. So leave it to me, I took this on as a challenge and this is what I came up with. I love the LO.

All the elements are from Angie Kovacs kit called Felty Fun. And the Alphabet was one of her freebies called Just a boy.
The arrow was from a charity kit I purchased called Treasures for Trevor and the staples came from Patricia Armaral.

The other challenge that I worked on last night was the most recent Candy Jar Challenge at Digital Candy. For this challenge you must use all elements provided to you in the freebie found here.

This is what I came up with

The background paper is from the Treasures for Trevor kit.

Thanks for looking!

I bought a new kit and it's AWESOME!

I bought a new kit called "The Love Connection" by Patricia Armaral Designs and WOW do I ever love it! I have had it saved in my favourites folder forever but just never bought it cause it was pretty pricey. Well, I bit the bullet today and bought it. I am so glad that I did! It's gorgeous!

Here's the link if you interested.

The Love Collection

And here is the layout that I created with it.

The template was a Sketch Challenge by Chris at Digital Candy. You can check out the challenge here.

My other project for the day was working with the other kit that I chose of Angie Kovacs. It's called Spring in My Step and once again it is full of bright bold colours. I couldn't be happier with this LO. It took me quite awhile to get it just the way I wanted it but now that it's done I love it!

Have a fabulous Friday!

My designer-of-the-month is...Angie Kovacs!

I couldn't be more excited! I am on the Digital Candy CT, so each month I get a new designer to work with. This month I have the privledge of working with Angie's beautiful kits! The first kit I chose was Felty Fun. This kit is filled with wonderful, bright, bold colours! And I must say that Angie makes some of the coolest felt goodies. They seem so touchable!

Here's my layout!

Finally after months and months of snow we got a fabulous day to head out and enjoy the neighbourhood park. We spent about an hour and a half there today and I took approximately 200 photos! It was such a refreshing feeling to get outside and chase the kids around with my camera.

This is another LO that I completed today using the photos from today. I have never done a LO like this before so I am up for any and all opinions or advice. I am always trying to learn.

The paper was from a freebie by Digital Crea in a kit called Holy Spirit and the Word art is from Elegant Wordart.

Mandy has done it again!

Man, I love her stuff, and it's not just because I am on her creative team! She really creates some beautiful kits to work with. Her newest kit is called Spring Pollen and it's full of cute little bees and flowers. I honestly had a LO finished within about 1 hour of receiving the kit!

Here's my LO.
