A Challenge from Sunshine Studio

The challenge was to create a layout all about yourself. You needed to include atleast 14 things about you and for an extra bonus you are to use the Walking on Sunshine kit from Sunshine Studio. Well, I did it and I love it! I love taking part in challenges. I try to stick to ones that appeal to me because if they don't it's really not worth the effort.

Here are my results...

Another LO that I completed lately is called My Daddy. For this LO all elements came from the kit called Ice Cream Dream by Ziggle Designs. The template is from Chrissy at Digital Candy. If you haven't had a chance to check out her templates you really should. They are amazing! So beautiful and I love the layers.

Two Bright and Bold LO's to Share

Angie at DigitalCandy.ca has already posted the next Monthly Desktop Challenge for April and the minute I saw the bright bold colours I had to dive right in. I am all about bold colours and boy do these ones pop! Here's the link to the challenge...

April Desktop Challenge

Because I am lucky enough to have a 24 inch widescreen monitor I decided to mix up the challenge a bit this month and I used a 2 page Freebie Template that I found here. The results came out amazing! I pasted the LO onto a black background the size of my desktop and voila! I had it done! All the photos were taken at my family's Easter celebration this weekend.

This next LO is of my adorable niece, Ava! She will be turning 2 in a few weeks and I am not sure if I have ever done a LO of her. I managed to capture this great photograph of her on Easter and I knew the second I saw it that it had to be scrapped!

The kit I used is call Walking on Sunshine by the Sunshine Girls and the template is by Chrissy at DigitalCandy.ca. You can find it here.

I could use some help, please

Here is a recent LO that I have been working on but I need some help with it. I got the sketch from CK magazine. It was created by Jen Caputo. The problem is that I feel like this LO is missing something. I am up for any suggestions that you may have. Thanks!

This next LO is using my favourite kit in the entire world. It's called Cotton Candy by Mandy Mystiques. Grab it here.
For this LO I decided to play more with bevels instead of just drop shadows. I am really pleased with the results. It gave the LO just the fresh feel that I was looking for. It feels nice to change up my routine once and a while.

It's the speed that I love...

I was given this kit last night by Mandy Mystiques, to make a layout for her. In true Shannon style I had cracked out a layout within 1 hour of receiving the kit!! I love that when using digital products I have so many choice right here on my computer and I don't even have to worry about whether or not things coordinate. I know they do because the designer makes sure of it.

This kit is called Easter Pizazz by Mandy Mystiques. I love the adorable little bunnies. They look so quirky which is exactly what I love.

This next LO I have been planning in my head for many, many months. I get such a kick out the fact that at 4 years old Emma is already very well travelled. I wanted to do a LO showcasing the places she has been in her short life and so here it is.

Kit is again by the fabulous Mandy Mystiques. It's called Space Sprockets.

Plugging Away

I seem to be constantly scrapping. I love the lack of mess when you scrap digitally so I cannot help but constantly be on the computer creating more and more LO's.

Here's a few of my latest...

This first layout was done using a freebie from Mandy Mystiques blog. It's called News Flash and it is so adorable!

As a bonus for being on a few creative teams I had the privledge of recieving a massive kit called Grateful 4 U. Here is my first layout using this kit.

My Grandparents have always been very special people in my life. My husband and I had the honour of presenting them with their very first great-grandchild. Here is a layout I made to celebrate this.

Urg! How frustrating!

I just get this blog up and running and I get flagged as spam! That sure slowed me down. It's so frustrating! Oh well, life goes on!

Here's some of my latest LO's. These are all using products from Chaos Lounge at DigitalCandy.ca.

For the first 2 I used her kit called Chaotic Spring. It's a great mix of vibrant colours and cool doodles.

The next 2 Layouts are done using her kit called Doodle Love. This kit is certainly not my usual style but it was great fun to work with and I think I am pretty happy with the results.

Welcome to my Digital Scrapbooking Blog

For about the past 4 years I have been scrapbooking the traditional way but I have always been in love with the look of the digital pages. Well, I think I have finally converted! My photoshop skills have improved exponentially and I love putting them to good use. My main tools for digital scrapbooking are Photoshop Elements 6, ACDSee 10 and my beloved Wacom Intuos tablet.

I recently found the website http://www.digitalcandy.ca/ and immediately fell in love! Their products are amazing and what a super friendly atmosphere. After being choosen for layout-of-the-day after only my first day I got a burst of confidence and applied for both Mandy Mistiques creative team and the main creative team for Digital Candy. Well, to my total surprise, I was excepted to both! I couldn't be more excited!

To begin my journey with this new blog I am going to share my first LO's designed using DC kits. I hope you enjoy them.

These first 3 LO's were all all created using Mandy Mystiques Cotton Candy kit. Check it out here. Oh, and incase you were wondering, I also used this fabulous kit to create my blog header.
